Should I get a Playstation 3?
As a graduation present, my grandmother gave me 0 in spending money, and I’m considering getting a PS3. I already have a 360 (favorite games – Mass Effect 1/2, Assassin’s Creed 2, GTA4, Halo, etc.) and my sister has a Wii, which I don’t really play. I plan on bringing my xbox to college next year (going to Purdue, we live in Indianapolis, so 1 hr away). If I do get a PS3, I may decide to leave it here, so I’d be able to play it only on weekends. We do not have a blue ray player now, so getting the Ps3 would be a plus for that.
So should I get the PS3 or stick with my 360 and use the 0 in spending money during college?

Personally the PS3 I think lacks alot of games and many of the games dont use the PS3s power abilities. Blue ray players are coming down on price and if you wanna pinch a penny get it off of Craigslist.THe PS3s online is nice for big matches and all but its laggy and slow at times because many servers tend to be overseas in my experience.
Xbox has alot better game library the online is better(less laggy and glitchy)the games actually use the 360s power(although it can still be pushed a bit more.Like the Xbox MS will probably make a new console before the 360s true power can be seen.PS3 will be like the PS2 and be around till you have grandkids.)
Also I would bank the 500 and save it for an emergecny car repair, new car down payment or the best would be saving for your own home and using it as a CD and not touching it and gaining the benefits and keep adding to it.

Education is more important than video game consoles, but if you really want it then go for it.

I would sell the 360, and use that money for the ps3. The 360 costs too much money for online.
Gaming on the ps3 is way better.

Spend it on education, trust me, it will just waste your time, actually, if you care, you won’t even use it with all the time studying and doing homework and with sex.
So, really, just stick with the 360 at your house

Ps3 Pros:
1) Quiet
2) Motion sensitive controllers
3) You can use any Bluetooth headset, keyboard, mouse, etc….
4) Blu-ray
5) Lack of flashing lights on front of machine!
6) Built in wi-fi card
7) HDMI included
Free Online Community and Game Play
9) Tech support speaks english and appears to be located in America, they understood my name and my question.
10) Controllers come with built in rechargable battery and can be charged with any usb port.
11) easy to navigate menus
12) No ridiculous power brick, one cord, if you want to take your ps3 with you somewhere you only need the controller, the unit and the power cord.Ps3 Cons:
1) No IR receiver, you can’t use your regular universal remote to control the ps3 you need a bluetooth which means an extra remote.
2) Shape, this one sounds stupid, but the rounded shape of the ps3 really annoys me because you can’t stack, say your wii, or even lay your remotes on top of the unit. (maybe you shouldn’t do that anyhow LOL)
3) Less games, or at this point I guess the better point would be less games made for the ps3, instead of built for the xbox and ported to the ps3, this is however changing and in the future will be less of an issue.Xbox 360 Pros:
1) Great online setup, lots of features which some may miss on the ps3, many probably will not
2) great game line up with a head start on ps3
3) Easy to navigate menus
4) Native Netflix SupportXbox 360 Cons:
1) Noise
2) Build Quality
3) Online service is $50 per year.
4) Tech support, I have called xbox live support several times, it is impossible to get them to understand what the issue is or even my name, I even gave up once.Xbox 360 Console
